Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there💐.I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend ☀️. Lisa would like to say May has to be one of the craziest months out of the year for salons between Mother's Day weekend, prom, and wedding season, and graduations - it just doesn't stop. But at the end of the day, Lisa has to stop and be Mom. With that said, this is Lisa's daughter Leah for her junior prom 🌸❤️🌷

In the face of loss, we find strength in the memories of Shawn Miller, a true friend and pillar of our small business community. Shawn's infectious spirit and exceptional talent, showcased in his work on decals and signage at the salon, touched the lives of all who knew him. May his legacy be a testament to the power of kindness, compassion, and community, and may he rest in peace. ❤️😭💔

This week, the Hot Mess turns 5! 🎉🍾 I want to take a moment to thank all our amazing clients for making this possible. We wouldn’t be where we are today without each of you. As a hairdresser for 22 years, I am honored and grateful to have survived the ups and downs of business ownership and to be stronger than ever. Being named the first ever Best of the Best Allegany Magazine Hair Stylist of the Year for 2023 and nominated for Cumberland Times News top 4 favorite Salons in the area each year has been an incredible honor. I am beyond grateful for the love and support from each of you, which has truly made my dreams a reality. Driven by passion and gratitude, thank you for being part of my journey. For everyone anxiously awaiting an update from Chelsie… baby and i are doing just fine! Isla Jane Wilson was born August 20th at 9lbs 5oz and if you bet on red hair, you were right!!

First off i want to thank everyone for your patience with the stylists still at the salon and with me during this time. The transition into motherhood although incredibly difficult, has been such a blessing.

Regarding my return, it’s not without debate that I’ve made the tough decision to not return to the salon and to stay home with Isla. This decision has been a heavy weight for many reasons as i will miss the family I’ve gained through the last 5 years made up of my caring coworkers and amazing clientele. This was also not my original plan, unfortunately things didn’t work out the way we had wanted.

I can’t thank my clients enough for the opportunity to get to know each and every one of you over the years, to be able to be a listening ear and be a part of your life as much as you were mine. This career was more than just hair and to everyone who sat in my chair i just want to express how grateful i am for you.

🥰 Chelsie is officially on her maternity leave!!

✂️ Please be patient with the stylists at the Hot Mess as they get appointments rescheduled. If you have an existing appointment to be rescheduled with another stylist or would like to make a new appointment please call the salon and you will be taken care of as soon as possible!

👀 Stay tuned for updates as we know more!

🍼 It’s due date month!! 👶🏼

✂️ Chelsie’s due date is quickly approaching, she is still working as of now so if you need in please get ahold of us asap to get on the book! Don’t forget about those back to school cuts!

📞 Her baby girl can make her appearance any day now though so please be aware when you have an appointment it may need to be cancelled and rescheduled with another stylist! With that being said, if you have an appointment coming up please stay reachable in case anything changes.

👑 After Chelsie is officially on maternity leave please be patient with the stylists still at the salon, they will be balancing their own appointments while trying to communicate and schedule Chelsie’s clients via Facebook messages, phone calls and text.

🩷 Thank you so much for your patience, we are all so excited and will be announcing officially when baby girl does make her arrival and when Chelsie will be returning to the salon.
