I know that it has been a while since we have been able to sit together as girlfriends and talk about skincare and makeup. In some cases, maybe many years. Since 2009, I have appreciated getting to know each one of you. Some through my HR career, Bible Study, Mary Kay event, etc. Yet when I found myself outside the HR realm, I hit a wall, as I did not see this coming. Those who have continued to support me, I love you. For many, you may think I quit, I did not. However, I poured myself into a completely different career after finding myself not ready to give up my dreams. While faced with a huge learning curve, and colleagues the age of my grandchildren, my Black Diamond family, including so many wonderful colleagues, vendors, coworkers, and customers have been beyond wonderful and I love and appreciate everyone very much. The past two plus years, I have taken my HR, Business, Mary Kay, and my whole self and learned a completely new business.

Well, a lot has happened and most recently I returned home from our wonderful local hospital; NorthSide Forsyth where I was diagnosed with COVID phenomena. It was a real surprise to me as I was sure that I was taking all appropriate precautions. Well, surprise this virus had other plans.

Now that I am home, and God gave me a lot of time to evaluate I have truly realized how much I miss my Mary Kay business customers and Pink Bubble. Mary Kay made a lot of changes to support its independent sales team during the Pandemic with virtual tools and virtual skincare and makeovers, but the heart of Mary Kay will always remain the same. Making sure women know how valuable they are and how wonderful and strong they truly can be with faith and support.

As I get stronger, I have no plans to quit my new career with my Black Diamond family as I love it and my customers. What I am trying to do is ease my husband’s work life balance and “Enrich Women’s Lives”. Kurt has worked so hard for so many years, the last 13 for me have been rather bumpy. It is my belief that with your help and my dedication that I can build my business to the levels that I love, and he is able to retire as planned from his high stress role sooner, rather than later, that is a huge blessing.
