A few skin care habits to practice in honor of skin cancer awareness month 💛

18 years in dermatology, and I still feel like I’m just getting started. From the long nights in nursing school (and questioning all my life choices 😭) to now…it’s been a journey of growth, learning, and truly falling in love with what I do.

I get to treat skin, enhance natural beauty, and help my patients feel confident in themselves… and that’s something I’ll never take for granted. Being a nurse isn’t just what I do…it’s who I am.

From nursing school…to where I am today 🤍

I didn’t always have the confidence, the experience, or the answers but I had the drive to learn, grow, and keep showing up. Nursing school was hands down one of the toughest things I’ve ever done… like truly questioning my life choices at 2am kind of tough. A TON of late nights, early mornings, self-doubt, but ultimately created so much growth in between.
Shout out to for almost taking ME OUT physically and mentally 😂😩😭And somehow in the middle of all of that… came the best friendships

Now I get to do what I love every day, helping my patients feel confident in their skin, whether it’s treating conditions or enhancing natural beauty.

Hi! So happy you’re here✨

I thought it was time to introduce myself. My name is Annamia, but most of my patients call me Mia. I’ve been in Dermatology for the past 15 years as a Medical Assistant and recently just took the steps to finish getting my RN degree. To say that SKIN & AESTHETICS is my passion would be an understatement, but my truest passion lies in taking care of my patients.

As I’ve naturally evolved in taking care of my patients, I’ve learned a lot about myself in my role in Dermatology and, more importantly, have learned the significant impact skin diseases can have on my patients’ physical and mental health.

My goal is to always be HONEST with my patients in finding the care they need in hopes of improving their skin & cosmetic needs while boosting their self-confidence.

Behind-the-scenes, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and having a boring work-life balance in my yoga clothes.😂💅🏼

Sooo what are you supposed to look for in an antioxidant serum? Let’s start with nailing down your biggest skin care goal or concern, like reducing signs of aging, treating acne, hyperpigmentation, etc. Skincare shouldn’t be stressful so I suggest starting with one to add to your skincare after you cleanse your wash but before SPF!
