This client prefers a high fade with lots of length on top. On coarse straight hair like this, I use a razor to remove weight and add texture.

To continue this week's topic of choosing the right beard for your face shape here is a great example. This client has a beard that compliments his face shape well. His diamond face shape is balanced by keeping the bottom and jaw line of his beard full. His high volume hair style is also a fit for this shape.

Week 3:your guide to beard grooming
After trimming and shaping this client's beard, I used a steam towel to soften and "clean" the hair. Next, I used an organic beard butter to moisturize the hair. Then I applied Woody's Quality Grooming light weight beard balm to tame any flyaways and keep the beard looking neat.
Keep in mind that any product you use on your beard should not have an overly fragrant. Because your beard is close to your nose you will smell any product you use all day long so make sure to test the fragrance when browsing for products.
