woah, it’s been a minnnute since I posted a hair photo. feels bizarre, but I’ll try to be better about sneaking them in here and there. in case you were wondering, I’m still behind the chair. 😜🤍

2021, you encouraged evolution like I’d never experienced before. Managing our household, navigating motherhood, and starting my own business, I learned a lot of what worked, and probably more, what I’d like to avoid repeating. My daily mantra was something like, “it takes a village. It’s ok to ask for help.” Some days i succeeded, and was in a magical flow; others I was counting the minutes until bed time.

As the year comes to a close, I’m grateful. I’m grateful I survived, we survived. Im grateful my “this is ground level, just keep pushing” mindset led me here. It gave me permission I needed to not be “perfect” (still ironing out those perfectionism kinks😅).

☀︎︎To my clients, thank you for your unwavering support. Without you NONE of this would be possible. Last year, you embarked on the journey of my dreams with me. I do not take that lightly. I’m looking forward to another year of nourishing relationships.

This year is different. We’re home just the three of us, because well, it’s 2020! Despite not being able to spend the holiday with our family, we’re healthy, and it’s the three of us, for the first time EVER. I’m beyond grateful for my boys. you’re the real MVP for taking care of me through quarantine, and taking over mommy/daddy duty for the last 10 days. I love you. I love you. I love you. ♥️ Also, we’re thankful for + family. thank you for sharing your feast with us. 🍽😘

I survived my first week back at work! 🙌🏼 I told myself so many stories leading up to this week. “What if I don’t remember how to do hair?” “What if Oliver needs me, and I’m away?” What if... What if... Well, it turns out I still know what I’m doing, and mannn, it felt good to be creative in that way again! 👩🏽‍🎨 Oliver will always “need” me, or I like to think he will, but he has an amazing papa caring for him. (shout out to you, for being seriously the most amazing father. I couldn’t ask for a partner to share our bundle of joy with) Moral of the story, those stories were just stories (why are we always so hard on ourselves?) and being back at work has been good for my Soul. 🥰

My beloved clients, I’m SO excited to announce I’m finally returning to the salon! Man, this year’s been crazy 😅... I want to thank you all for being patient (and creative with your at home kits😉) during the pandemic + my maternity leave. I’ve tried to soak in every single moment with my sweet Oliver, and now, mama is ready to get back to something she loves. I can’t wait to reconnect, and hear ALL about how you’ve survived countless Clorox wipes and hand sanitizers. I’m ready to play with your hair, and make you feel beautiful, seen, and heard (even with your mask on). 😜 My books will be open starting next week. Can’t wait to see you! 🤍💫

Speaking of mantras, my due date is quickly approaching, and ill need some to help guide me through the birthing process. Friends with babies, or without, I’d love to hear what you would read/ tell yourself while in labor. 🙏🏼👇🏼

Time is a non renewable resource. We all have the same amount of time in a present moment. ⏳

How many times have you found yourself saying, “I’d love to do this. If only I had more time...” Well ladies and gentlemen, we’ve all been granted just that, time. 💫 Have you honored yourself and granted your wishes of having more time? I’d love to hear how! 👇🏼

I’ve taken intentional time for self care. Meditation baths are my newest jam. 🧘🏽‍♀️ I’ve slowed. down. picking up more books, finally starting the journey of playing guitar, preparing our house, my body and mind for our baby boy 💙

This “tine” has presented its challenges, sure. But the beauty it’s presented surpasses any temporary challenge. ❤️✨
