Ok ready for the coolest story EVER?! Just before the fire, I contacted Sparkle Plenty Designs, Inc. to have custom bling created for La Bichette. After seeing the sad news, the owner, Andrew, contacted me saying that he would like to DONATE our order given the circumstances in hopes that we can get back on our feet sooner than later and represent La Bichette with these gorgeous shirts in the meantime. These T's are incredibly soft, super sparkly and are now being worn with pride by our mobile crew! This sincere act of kindness from one small business to another, is so very touching. My dear family... And trust me, you are our family. You have stuck with us through our "growing years". It has been our privilege to watch your children grow from Freshmen to Seniors, both in high school and college. We have delighted in our younger ladies who have blossomed right in front of our eyes. Kit, you grew from a starry eyed post high schooler to the woman you are today. We've cried together. We've laughed together. We are family. Tamara and I have been told that the front facade of La Bichette will fall tomorrow. Not sure exactly why, but I wanted you all to know. We will be there to watch it come down, just as we eagerly anticipated the ugly plaster unveiling the beautiful frieze underneath 5 years ago. Funny, Neil threatened to make me pay if it wasn't pretty beneath the plaster. We've all had significant life experiences over these years. It has been an honor for us to watch you, our customers... Our family, go to weddings, Cattle Baron's, Crystal Charity, Proms, Dances and on and on. We could not have stayed open a month if you had not entrusted yourselves and your children to us. What else are you gonna do but laugh when your friends help you dig out pieces from the rubble and then set it up in front of the last wall standing?

If you don't already know this, let us fill you in: Marsha & I don't just have employees, we have the most outstanding, selfless, hard-working and talented team anyone could ever imagine. Without skipping a beat, a number of our girls brought their own personal hair & makeup products to a bride's house yesterday - it wasn't even a question, it wasn't even something I asked them to do. Everyone just pitched in - like they always have - and got an entire bridal party and family members ready for a very special day. In some form or fashion, we WILL continue during the interim. Here we are this morning. Total disbelief. Thank you all for the sweet messages and my apologies for not immediately responding. Phone died in the wee morning hours and I turned it on to find over 100 loving texts. We love you all, thank you for the support.
