Yesterday was the 1st day of High School and today he turns 15!!!!! YES I’M CRYING WHEW…… yeah, my tears are blinding me from typing much else so yall just please wish my big boy a Happy 15th Birthday!

Heading out to the very first day of High School and I said, “let me take your picture” because of course I had to get my pic in right?!?

He does this pose and I said “what does that mean?” He says, “Momma I’ve been hit with so many downs lately that it’s nowhere else to go but up, so that’s where I’m pointing, UP!”

All I could do was shake my head and smile! This boy is so resilient, full of love and wisdom and it blows me away to look at what the Lord has created!

I pray a special prayer of protection, peace, knowledge, understanding, learning, leadership, wisdom and love over not only my Son but over all of our children who are returning to the classroom this school year🙏🏽❤️ #

Sitting here reflection on the goodness of Jesus!!!!!!! 2021 is when it all began. These pictures are from July of ‘21. I was afraid and didn’t know if I would live or die. I was taking chemo treatments to kill the active antibodies then soon after, placed on dialysis due to kidney failure. Soon after, my lungs started failing. Ooooooooooh BUT LOOK WHAT THE LORD HAD DONE!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

The fight is still not over, I’m still “in waiting for a kidney transplant” (I believe the Lord for COMPLETE HEALING),, I still have to have bi-weekly treatments to help my blood count and such, oh and last checked, my lung function is up to 74%!

I said all of this to say, KEEP BELIEVING! Not just for me, but for you too!!!!! The Lord wants to do soooo much for His people but we MUST KEEP BELIEVING!!!!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽

After battling a terminal illness, that many of you know about for the last four years, stepping back into this space was emotional, powerful, and encouraging. 🙏🏽💛

Was it perfect? No. I had moments of doubt… wondering if I was good enough, if my voice would produce what my head and heard, like it used to, if I still had what it takes. The truth is, I’m still rebuilding — my lung capacity, my vocal cords, my confidence. But let me tell you… I’m back and that alone is a testimony!!! 💪🏽🔥

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for life, healing, and how the Lord has constantly shown up for me! He has changed my life!!! 🙌🏽😭🙌🏽😭🙌🏽

This is just the beginning. I’ve got work to do, but I’m doing it with JOY. With PURPOSE. With FIRE. Stay close… something beautiful is being birthed from this. Who knows what may come of all of this, but the Lord! I’m just glad to be back in my happy place! 🎙️✨

I don’t just create and design beautiful and delicious food, I serve, create and design GORGEOUS hair too!!! Art in SEVERAL forms!

When my Sister goes hard for someone, she goes HARD! Don’t you dare mess with her KayD’ or she’s gonna SHOW UP!

She did just that, showed up for sure in a big way just when we needed her! Aunt Tema was there holding it down and for that I say THANK YOU!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Can you imagine this being 5yrs ago? We experienced a time that we could have never imagined. It shifted the way our lives as we had previously known it to be forever during COVID.

Fast forward 5yrs and again, we’ve experienced something that we could have never imagined. An unexpected loss.

In both situations I can say, the Lord has been kind to us and has protect us. In all things we must remember who holds our yesterday, today and tomorrow…. Jeremiah 29:11 simply states, God KNOWS the plans HE has for us. I will continue to stand, lean and trust in this🙏🏽

COME ON WAISTLINE!!!! Starting to see something here again!!! WHEW, I may be at home but I MUST remember I have a goal to reach! Buuutttttt uuummmmmmm……….. I WANT GINO’S and FLOWER DRUM, REAL BAD! 🤦🏽‍♀️😩😭🤣
