Medical update about our founder, Dr. Byrian Ramsey…

From Dr. Byrian:
Today was chemo #5 with the same medicines. I’m grateful that the only outcome is being very tired. I’m given a dose of Benadryl through IV and it especially hits me hard. But I’m grateful for all the nausea meds, they work!!!

I met with the oncologist today and the prognosis is positive. He did mention 4-6 months of treatment. My first treatment date was April 30, 2026, so most likely we are looking at September or October to be in the clear. God willing. 🫶🏻❤️🫶🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 He said the lymph node that started this journey has decreased in size but the PET scan on July 17th will confirm the outlook.

On June 19th, Elberta Community Partners presented Town of Elberta Mayor Steve Kirkpatrick with the proceeds from the March 2026 festival. In the Town of Elberta Volunteer Fire Department FY 25-26 budget, we have contributed a total of $70,000! We cannot thank everyone enough for their support of this event twice a year, which allows us to support our volunteer fire department, and various initiatives in our community. We look forward to seeing everyone for Blocktoberfest on Friday, October 30 6PM-11PM, then on Saturday, October 31 8AM-5PM for the October 2026 Elberta German Sausage Festival!
