SOMETHING SPECIAL IS COMING THIS NOVEMBER

I've been thinking about how I can show my appreciation to all of my amazing clients this Thanksgiving season, and I keep coming back to one thing. A little gift, with a WHOLE LOT of gratitude. 🫶
The truth is, you are so much more than an appointment on my calendar. You're the reason I get to wake up every day and do something I love. You've trusted me, supported me, encouraged me, referred your friends and family, and allowed me to be a little part of your lives, and I don't ever want you to think I take that for granted. 🥹
So this November, I want to do something special. Every client who sits in my chair during November will receive a little gift from me as a small reminder of how thankful I am for YOU, and because I want to show a little EXTRA love, I'll also be giving away ONE BIG appreciation gift! No big reason and No special occasion. Just a grateful heart wanting to give back to the people who make my dream possible every day.

I have been having some of the same discussions with clients lately. The hardest truth girls who want long hair have to accept is you have to get rid of split ends if you want to keep your length. I know what you’re thinking, "but I’m trying to grow my hair, why would I cut it?!”✂️

Here’s the thing, your hair grows from your scalp, but if your ends are splitting and breaking off, you’re losing length from the bottom. So yes, your hair IS growing, but you just can’t tell because the ends keep breaking off, and once an end splits, it doesn’t magically glue itself back together. Products can make it look and feel better for a little while, but that split is still there. If you leave it alone, it can keep splitting farther and farther up the hair shaft. Then, instead of needing a tiny trim, you need MORE cut off. Your scalp grows the hair, but healthy ends help you KEEP the hair. Holding onto 2 inches of thin, see through, split ends just because you don’t want a haircut is NOT helping you get long, healthy hair. Regular trims don’t keep your hair from getting long, waiting too long between trims and letting your ends break off is what keeps you stuck at the same length. The goal isn’t to never cut your hair. The goal is to trim a LITTLE before the damage gets bad enough that we have to cut A LOT.

So when your stylist says, "Girl, these ends gotta go,” we’re not trying to take your length. We’re trying to help you KEEP IT. ✂️🤍 For someone who regularly highlights, bleaches, colors, curls/straightens, or blow dries, I’d generally recommend 6–8 weeks for haircut maintenance, especially if the ends are fine or prone to splitting. For someone who doesn't color and rarely uses heat, there's usually no reason they must trim every 6–8 weeks. If the ends remain smooth and the haircut still looks good, every 3–4 months can be perfectly reasonable.
