We call this the “summer’s coming” switch up. This pretty lady decided it was time to lighten her hair a bit for the warmer weather.

How did we take her from all over dark to this in one appointment? Switched out four of her dark wefts of hair for light ones and started to slowly lighten her natural hair while preserving it’s integrity.

This is another reason I love hair extensions. We can make big changes with little commitment & for some girls, that is a dream. Any of you love changing up your hair color but hate the time the process takes? NBR might just be for you.

There is so much more to wearing extensions than just having pretty hair. It’s the confidence that comes from silencing the inner critic that says our hair isn’t thick enough or long enough or blonde enough. It’s the ability to solve a styling problem we have always dealt with.
It’s the sense of feeling more like ourselves after life has happened and our hair is not as good as it once was.

Today was move up day for my assistant and we decided the roots of her extensions needed to be freshened up to better blend with her natural hair & I couldn’t be happier with her work!

He is Risen! Happy Easter ✝️ to all of you from me and my peeps.

Some of you have met her, some have not. Either way, say hello 👋🏻 to Alexis! She is my second set of hands and the girl that keeps the pace steady at jrs styling. Alexis is a licensed cosmetologist in hopes of building her own clientele (soon 🤞🏻) .

Outside the salon she enjoys concerts & hanging out with her family and friends. I’m also convinced she is a professional at shopping the Marshall’s racks with all her super cute finds.

In the salon you can find her removing extensions, rooting & toning wefts to create a custom blend for you and blow drying rows so they are ready when we are. I am so grateful to have her as part of my team and know you will love her too!

It’s me, hi 👋🏻. I decided it would be a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Jessica Salzman, owner of jrs styling. I have been in the hair industry for 18 years and in the extension industry since 2020.

My favorite place in the world (besides behind the salon chair) is at home with my people—I am the proud mama of Cora & Livia and Eric’s wife. Currently we are loving watching the Bachelor (& guessing which contestants have extensions 😝) and are anxiously awaiting warmer weather so we can enjoy all the things outside. You can also find me scrolling the free people website, trying to convince my husband we need another trip to Disney World or enjoying a wine tasting at Cooper’s Hawk with my closest friends.

I decided to dive into extensions during the pandemic because I knew I wanted to learn something new & had always struggled with baby fine hair that wouldn’t grow (thanks Hashimoto’s). I was beyond grateful when I realized NBR could be a solution for me and so many other women longing for dream hair. With almost 3 years in, I am so darn glad I took the leap and never looked back.
