Congratulations to Alex Ledesma on his graduation from barber college! Alex will begin his career at Bly’s Barbershop in Mt. Zion! Much can be said about Alex—his humor and his penchant for buying expensive cars among them 😬. But in all seriousness, you’d be hard pressed to find a barber with as much overall polish as him. He has worked very hard to turn himself into the barber he is today—he is serious about all aspects of his craft from the preparation of his tools to the final result of the service. He has a very bright future ahead of him and I’m excited to watch it unfold. Congrats, Alex!

Congratulations to David Sutton on his graduation from Barber College! David will begin his career at Elevations Barbershop here in Decatur. David will most definitely be missed around here. From his mostly questionable takes on basketball, to his super distinguishable “Check!” You could always tell when he was in the building! Behind the chair, David has really grown into a great barber. He gives his all to each client he encounters and is always striving to get better. We will miss having him here but I look forward to watching his continued growth and future success. Congrats, David! 💈 📚

Congratulations to Diohn Johnson on his graduation from barber college! Diohn will begin his career at 36 & Salem. I could always count on Diohn to bring good energy and great banter to the school everyday—talking about UFC, basketball, football—not to mention being able to PERFECTLY replicate SpongeBob’s laugh to lighten the mood 🤣. He is a perfectionist when it comes to the details of his work and his clients feel that whenever they are in his chair. He gives 110% to each one of them. He’s ALWAYS striving to get better and is exactly the kind of a barber that a client would seek out—personable, consistent, and constantly elevating his craft. He will certainly be missed but he has a bright future ahead of him! Congrats, Diohn!💈📚🎓

Congratulations to Steven Kaiser on his graduation from Barber College! Steven is off to begin his career at Snyder’s Barbershop in Peoria. Steven was referred here by an LBC alum and I am so glad he was! I thoroughly enjoyed his time in the program. If I was drawing the archetype of the barber every guy hopes to have for a lifetime, it looks a lot like Steven—Super affable, funny, consistent, relatable and a guy everyone wants to be around. Fortunately, he’s a heck of a good barber too. I admire anyone who is willing to commute so far and show such dedication to learning the craft. He has left his mark on the school and we are all better off having crossed paths with him. Congrats, Steven! 💈 📚 🎉

Thank you to my wife Shyler, current student Shehab, and alumni Joe Couch and Josh Meyer for spending their morning at Richland at the DPS #61 Future Fair! They all had a great time representing the college and talking with seniors from MacArthur and Eisenhower about life in the trades and all of the perks and freedoms that a career in Barbering can afford! Barbering has changed ALL of our lives for the better—maybe it can change yours? 💈 📚
