After being hospitalized with COVID, my memory shifted.

Short-term memory felt fragile.
I could not retain conversations.
I struggled to apply new lessons.

Before that, I was an avid learner. A gatherer of stories. A builder of connection.

Then suddenly, I was avoiding rooms.

I hated feeling disconnected from life. I refused to accept that as my new normal.

So I started researching ways to reboot my operating system.

And I had to laugh when I realized something: in so many ways I already had what I needed.

Life tends to work out that way for me.

One of many things at my fingertips was my Rosemary Honey.

Rosemary has been called the herb of remembrance since ancient times.

Traditionally, rosemary resolves what herbalists describe as a cold, stagnant state:

• Brain fog
• Low mood
• Chronic inflammation
• Fatigue that coffee cannot fix

Modern studies suggest that inhaling rosemary aroma may help prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine, a key brain chemical tied to focus and memory. In human trials, exposure correlated with improved speed and accuracy on cognitive tasks.

It does not just stimulate.

It regulates.

Rosemary warms what is cold.
Moves what is stagnant.
Calms what is tight.

It can lift mental fatigue while also soothing nervous tension.

That paradox is its brilliance.
Not hype. Balance.

When energy flows, the mind remembers who it is.

If you’ve been feeling foggy… disconnected… or energetically stuck…

Consider inviting rosemary into your ritual.

A spoonful of our Rosemary Honey in tea.
A warm drizzle over roasted vegetables.
A moment of inhalation before your day begins.

From recipe to remedy. 🌿🍯

In 2021 my Dad was admitted to the hospital for COVID. The nurse taking care of him looked at my Mom and said very matter of factly “If he gets out of here, get him back on the herbs he was on asap.” That if held heavy in the air. Unfortunately, his condition worsened quickly. COVID Pneumonia. Right after the doctors painted a rather bleak picture of his outcome I was rushed to the hospital for COVID as well. When I got there tests and lung scans revealed it was COVID Pneumonia-and I was admitted to have the fluid on my lungs drained. Crying I said “You guys can’t let me die! My Dad is in here, he and I are all Mom has. We can’t leave her alone with my babies!” All but one nurse ignored me. They went so far as to try to convince me that my Dad wasn’t even in the hospital. That it was the virus causing me to have hallucinations. When everyone left that one nurse quietly came back. Idk what she did when she came back but I could feel it start working. After confirming my Dad was indeed in the hospital I was hurriedly released. Strange considering I was supposed to be undergoing a critical procedure. Either way, both Mom and I were thankful. She followed the nurse’s advice and got me back on our herbs. Dad never left the hospital. Mom and I needed more than just herbs to get us through. Our turmeric honey became more than just a health ritual after this. It became a sail to help us move forward in the tumultuous sea of grief we’ve navigated since then. It became a sweet reminder to savor every moment.

Dad…I wish I could hug you and hear you say “Sweetheart, it’s gonna be ok.” But you are doing that in a different way. Thank you for still taking care of Mom and I in tangible ways even after you’ve been gone for so many years. I hope I’m making you proud. I love you Daddy 💖
