being a social media manager, i should “know better” than to post at 10:27pm on a saturday night but for the sake of authenticity here we are —– and also because inspiration *almost never* happens during what instagram tells me is the optimal time frame for post engagement 😁.

that being said, i think we need to be careful.
hear me out.
i like this moment so much. sitting at my kitchen table, at the end of the day, watching the orange brick turn light pink then purple then dark blue and eventually pitch black.
i like it so much but a computer generated algorithm has deemed it too late in the day for it to be worth sharing.
“no, now is not good. you should wait for tomorrow.”
and much like other areas of our lives, we are quick to believe that the present moment is not good enough as it is.
and then tomorrow comes and that divine moment of inspiration has passed and you never shared what was on your heart.
our fear of showing up imperfectly or at an inopportune time consequently silences us.
as part of showing up more authentically here, i want to give in to more of these inspired moments.
to let them run their course, whenever that might be.
posting, not to please an algorithm, but to acknowledge and honor the often-inspired soul that i am becoming.
