Above Ground was built with anti-fascism woven into our very fabric, not as a trend, but as a core value. We believe in collective liberation, community care, and standing up when it matters.

This Friday, we want to stand in solidarity with the boycott and with everyone refusing to participate in systems that cause harm. At the same time, we also recognize that opting out of work or spending is a privilege not everyone has. Survival isn’t optional, and choosing to show up for your livelihood does not make you any less committed to justice.

If you do choose to spend money that day, we encourage you to do so intentionally: support small businesses, support queer-owned and community-rooted spaces, and be with each other. Community is resistance.

We’re committed to putting our money where our mouth is by showing up materially, not just symbolically and continuing to invest in causes and people aligned with these values.

Above Ground Lodo salon specializes in gender affirming haircuts and offers the service complimentary for youth struggling with their identities, so let’s give back to a business that gives so much to Denvers LGBTQIA+ community!
Join us Sunday November 17th at 3:00pm for cocktails, music, Bingo, and a drag show with performances by Michigan’s Yolanda DelFierce, Momo Madison, and Denvers own drag king Valentino Verde.

Styists! I’m going to start doing some education at my LoDo shop. I’m open to requests but will start out with a fade (look and learn on a live model) class on Monday October 7th 12pm-2pm.
