My mantra while in the hospital with dad was always “you can do hard things”. I had to repeat that to myself many many times while losing him. This weekend I kept repeating that while doing the Dri Tri at Orangetheory Fitness Clive yesterday…shaving 8 min off my personal best. And then again this morning while doing the Drake 10k. Thank you, Dale Irving, for teaching me that I can do hard things.
