I am not exactly sure how many years Bob Schmid has been coming in for his haircuts. Besides his hair getting a little whiter and growing a beard he looks as young as he did the 1980’s. His regular time was Saturday 8:00 am every five weeks. He worked six day weeks managing people in the printing world. His favorite sport is definitely softball, and he still plays! A favorite hobby is growing his vegetable garden. He loves hanging out with his family and now has grandchildren that keeps things even more fun. 🤩 I am so grateful that I style his hair and I get to hear his life stories. A funny one is after his haircut he would go straight to work and his team members would tease him that he had his Christofer Walken style going on! I guess it’s only funny if you know who that is!! Thank you Bob, it’s always fun to see you.😊

I love to hear Mary laugh.❤️ Over the many years we have shared our stories of family and fun, work and our hobbies. Mary and her husband usually have a family thanksgiving dinner. I love to hear about all the different dishes they are serving. Everything is homemade even the w**e! It’s a big Italian dinner made with love ❤️ I am so grateful I have heard all her stories and enjoyed them. Thank you Mary, you are a gift!

Anne Wiberg loved the color pink. She wore pink lipstick 💄 and had a lot of pink in her wardrobe. She moved to DesPlaines from Minnesota and someone recommended me to her and that how it started. Her husband Mark started coming to the salon and also her son John. Sometimes her son Ben would come in when he was visiting the family. I miss her. Anne passed away in 2023. We always would have the best conversations because of her wonderful personality. We even went to lunch occasionally. This picture says so much about Anne! Thank you for being my friend❤️

Valerie Domain better known by her family as Tootsie. She is my friend Rosina’s sister. When she was in last we were trying to figure out just how many years she has been coming in. It was before our salon had a computer so you know it has been a stretch of time! I have been lucky enough to go through many style changes with Val from short to long. It’s not just about the hairstyle though, along the way a friendship happens. It’s a professional friendship. For the most part I only see her at the salon and after 35 years I think we know one another pretty well. Val is a realtor, so I called my friend when it was time to sell my mother’s condo. She made the process of selling go smoothly and it was just before the COVID shutdown. It happened with Vals’s help and experience. Thank you Val, you do so many good things for many people!❤️

My friend Joe Esposito has been coming in to see me for over 35 years! He is Italian and so am I, so we talk… about our family, mostly our mothers and our dogs. Joe loves sweets. He really is a connoisseur of birthday cakes, and donuts and sweet rolls. On my 50th birthday he brought in this enormous chocolate and banana filled layer cake! We served it to our guests that day too! I believe Joe is now 100 years young. He still loves his sweets🎂🍩🍰
