Hair Stylist this is something you should be offering your clients. This is not only helps them see what happened is happening, but it helps you keep track of the history of their hair when they first come to you and the treatments that they need going forward.
I also believe this keeps clients motivated to do what they need to do at home.
I created a system to make this process seamless.I have a few coaching calls available this month where I can walk you through the questions, hair examine and test to add this to your service.

Beauty Pros- Comment “report” and I’ll send you the direct link, l’d love to share it with you.

All of my new clients come to me expressing how they’re been taking care of their hair based on their curl pattern. Or not really caring about their hair at all. The all express how ready they are to change the direction their hair is going in, because the have the desire to feel confident wearing their own hair (when needed)

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of resources available in some places, not enough detailed education and information being sent home for you to succeed.

With my virtual consultation you can be anywhere in the world and get the guidance you need that’s based on the science of your hair, not just some general information, that’s keeping everyone stuck with no visible signs

In this virtual consultation you will:
1. Build a better understanding of your hair
2. Cultivate a working relationship with your hair and scalp
3. Refine your routine
4. Plan to retain healthier hair in 4-12 weeks
5. My famous Hair report card

The link is available in my bio I look forward to helping you along this journey

Dehydrated hair is the problem friend.
It is the reason you shampoo and conditioner your hair and it still feels brittle days afterwards.

There are two things that could be causing this stagnation and I’m about to get you right.
1. The Conditioner you are using does not lather well.. yes I said lather! Don’t mistake this lather for the one you feel and see with shampoo, but this lather is subtle and just enough to notice. This lather allows the ingredients to pe*****te into the hair shaft to hydrate the hair from the inside out.
Our Step 3 Hydrating Conditioner is made with organic ingredients, rich in vitamin and minerals, made into a rich texture that is light weight for all hair types
2. The ingredients in your conditioner could be drying your hair out.
Ingredients like isopropyl alcohol, dimethicone, sodium lauryl sulfate and artificial fragrance can be extremely harmful to your hairs hydration journey. This why Dallas Healthy Hair & Length Scientist Step 3 Hydrating Conditioner is free of all these ingredients and only includes moisture friendly ingredients like aloe juice, vitamin b5 and behentrimonium
methosulfate(derived from rapeseed oil)
Don’t give in your healthy hair journey, when you choose clean ingredients that with for the hair not against it, you will see a difference. Remember our products are formulated based on science not trend and can help you with all your needs. Shop now link is in Dallas Healthy Hair & Length Scientist bio

Every silk press class that I have taken so far, has been amazing. They all cover very important aspects of achieving the results of a beautiful silk press.

Although the results, and the silky outcome is the goal, there should be a customized formula for creating these results with healthy hair in mind. This includes customizing the shampoo experience, the flat iron temperatures, the blow dry technique and the thermal placement.

Back to the main topic of this post: heat damage
I have clients that prefer to loosen their natural curl, I have clients that prefer to retain their curl pattern and I also have clients that would prefer to retain their natural curl, while having the option of straightening.

With this type of clientele, I have taught myself how to customize each silk press but with healthy hair in mind. Whether that is retaining the curl pattern or helping a client relax their natural curl. It is not a one size fits all type of service.
I’ve put together a detailed formula that has help me get the silky results Without the heat damage. If you are a licensed cosmetologist l’d love to share it with you. Just comment the word “silk” and I’ll send it over shortly

My daughter was born in 2018… it wasn’t until 2021/2022 when her hair transitioned from the baby texture, to her now real porosity and texture. 2022 was the year I really started understanding what it truly meant to be proteins sensitive. Once I understood it better I started seeing better length retention

Skipping monthly protein treatments because her hair is protein sensitive was the culprit(especially since I was blowing her hair before styling
-when her hair completed it’s initiation into the low porosity society I had to realize it’s not protein that’s the issue, it’s:
1. giving the hair protein in the wrong way
2. not giving it the right type of protein, with the appropriate duration and frequency

Bonus: balancing both hydration and the appropriate protein

Are you struggling with understanding your hair’s porosity?

Let’s be real... who/what would be the best choice for the community when it came to purchasing haircare
1. Hair care line created/curated by a haircare professional, cosmetologist etc
2. Hair products owned by Big box beauty brand, IYKYK
3. Haircare trend brands by Celebrities, no real day to day experience with hair and scalp health

This is for my hair care professionals that are REALLY passionate about the science of hair and scalp health (body health also). You touch hair and scalps all day everyday. There are probably over 10000haircare brands in the US and how many of those are curated by someone like you, taking the time everyday, paying attention to the way the hair reacts to products/ingredients, what works well for certain hair types, what problems need to be solved.

We are the walking “research and development”.
But this journey is not for everyone. It is for those that love hair and I mean love it. Not just love styling and the art(everyone does have a place) but it takes something deeper than that. Late nights, early morning, research, pattern recognition etc

If you’re a hair care professional, that is passionate about haircare, science and want to develop a haircare line to solve problems for your clients and others with your God given gift/knowledge... comment “diary”... I’d love to share with you steps you can take, like I did, to help my customers/clients reach their goals
