Me and Kenneth Dwayne Seals. This young man pictured here has his work cut out for him, to carry the torch of a great legacy, created by his dad….Dwayne Seals. He has done a superb job thus far and I know he will make his family proud.

It has been a tough month. First I had to deal with my little cousin passing, then I had to hear the news that someone that I loved deeply had passed away. Went to see him on Tuesday after the holiday, he got down on one knee asked me to marry him, put his shoes on and said “let’s go get the ring.” I said, “you’re still not ready.” Went back to see him on Wednesday, he still had the same sentiments, this time he asked me to stay the night….I left never went back and he passed away early Thursday morning. Whew weeee! This one hurt me to the core. Not because I didn’t go get the ring, but because I let my ego stop me from being with someone that I know truly loved me….due to a few hiccups along the way. The flip side to it all, is that women judged me for not giving in, due to the success and the riches that this guy possessed. Let’s be clear every woman wants a guy that can provide, however the money, houses, cars and success is just a part of it. I’ve owed mansions, luxury cars, taken trips all around the world, based off my own success and hard work, but at this age there is no room for me to start then stop then start then stop again….is what I was going through in this particular relationship. May he rest in peace and May his legacy continue to bless generations to come for his namesake. Dwayne Seals a LEGEND from the Eastside of Detroit. He would say to me, “I was just a poor boy from Mack and Bewick, went on to get an engineering degree, became a pilot, own 250 rental houses/buildings, vacation homes, retired from the city after 33 years….the only thing missing from my life is you, Pamela Reid.
