I never saw myself as a teacher.

I just became someone who wasn’t afraid to learn.

People ask me all the time how I do certain things, and the truth is… I Google it.

Then I research it.
Then I break it down.
Then I test it.
Then I test it again until I understand it well enough to explain it to someone else.

That’s how Nika’s Cupcake Bar was built.

Not because I knew everything.
Because I was willing to learn everything I needed to know.

Whether it’s baking, business, branding, pricing, events, or finding a solution, I don’t believe in gatekeeping information. If sharing what I’ve learned helps someone else grow, then that’s what I’ll do.

Maybe teaching doesn’t always happen in a classroom.

Sometimes it looks like showing up, staying curious, and leaving breadcrumbs for the next person to follow.

That’s what Cake Therapy has always been.

I want an ordinary life with the money people think I have. 🥹😂

But here’s the part I haven’t really talked about…

This break from baking has reminded me why I had to step away in the first place.

I wasn’t uninspired.

I was exhausted.

For years I was creating, serving, planning, showing up, and pouring into everyone else. Somewhere along the way, I forgot that creativity needs rest, too.

I kept wondering why the ideas weren’t flowing.

Why Cake Therapy didn’t feel the way it used to.

Why I couldn’t hear myself.

The answer wasn’t that I’d lost my gift.

I was just tired.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop spinning long enough to remember who you are.

This season has reminded me that Nika’s Cupcake Bar was never just about cupcakes. It has always been about creating a soft place to land—for you and for me.

I’m not rushing back.

I’m rebuilding from a rested place this time.

Because I want the cupcakes to taste like joy again… not burnout. 🤍
