Hair color doesn't have to be high maintenance. I fully expect it will be at least 3 months before I see this balayage client back in my chair, and I wouldn't have any other way.

BIG NEWS! We've officially received word that salons are allowed to reopen this upcoming Friday, May 8th. Pink West Salon will be taking a couple days to ensure that we have all product and protective gear necessary to serve our clientele. My first day back in the salon will be May 11th. We have chosen to limit the number of stylists in the salon at one time. This, unfortunately, limits the number of days that I can work a week. My current plan is to return to work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm hoping this is just a short-term measure and I can return to my regular hours before too long.

My online schedule is currently closed. It's difficult to figure out how to reschedule two months worth of appointments, but my plan at the moment is to give precedence to the clients who had appointments booked in March and April that we were unable to keep. After I've gotten all of these clients scheduled, I will open up my online books for everyone else. I really appreciate everybody's flexibility and understanding during this time. I wish I could do everyone's hair at once.

Please have patience with me as I try to sort through the flood of emails, text messages and phone calls I know I have coming my way! My kids have been keeping me pretty busy during the day, but I promise I will get back to all of you as soon as I possibly can.

To all my lovely clients - I have roots too.

Every single time I look in the mirror, I'm absolutely itching to do something to mess with my hair. Like many of you, it's been about 3 months since I've had my highlights done, and I am long overdue. However, despite all of the tools I have at my disposal, I have barely touched it. Why should I be allowed to get my hair done if you're not?

In case you haven't heard, I am offering root touch up kits for my grey clients, and root smudges or glazes for bleach clients. These kits will be put together with your exact formula, and include detailed directions for application. Kits can be delivered to your doorstep if you live locally, or we can arrange a time for pickup at the salon.

Although we had previously hoped that we could reopen for business on May 1st, the governor released a statement today that said that salons and spas will remain closed until May 18th, at the earliest. I'm not going to lie, my heart broke a little bit when I heard this... Although I absolutely understand the necessity, I miss you all, and I miss doing hair so much it hurts.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you are interested in a color kit, a product from the salon, or have any questions I can help you with. Even if I can't help you, I'll do my best to try. I will update you all with my return date when it becomes clear to me. Until, I hope you all stay safe and healthy, and never, never, ever box dye your hair 💕

After much deliberation, I have decided to cancel all appointments for the next 2 weeks. My industry is extremely up close and personal. There is no possible way for me to maintain proper social distance. I'd rather be a part of the solution, rather than the problem. This is not a decision I've made lightly. I value you all and am deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I hope you all stay safe and healthy, and I look forward to seeing you after this storm has passed. 💕
