✨Reiki Certified ✨. ::part 2:: . And so, the seed was planted. A chance encounter in the cutest little Seattle bookstore, where a book on the basics of reiki practically leapt into my hands, set me on a rabbit hole of research. From there, the universe seemed to work in my favor, guiding me towards a Reiki training that aligned perfectly with my schedule and intentions. The training itself was a transformative experience. Through meditation and hands-on practice, we unlocked hidden chambers of our own consciousness, confronting both beauty and discomfort. We laughed, we cried, we felt all the feels! Though my journey with reiki is still new and ever evolving, I can already feel its positive effects throughout my life. On days I incorporate this I feel more centered, more grounded, and more connected than ever before. Even my clients have noticed a shift in the energy of the salon space, commenting on a greater sense of peace and tranquility. My hopes for reiki extend far beyond my personal practice. My hope is to share this sacred gift with my daughter, infusing her life with love, light, and healing energy. And in the salon space, I aspire to create a sanctuary of healing and renewal, where clients can not only leave looking their best but feeling their best as well. In a world full of uncertainty and turmoil, reiki serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path towards healing, wholeness, and connection. And if I can play even the smallest role in bringing that light into the lives of others, then I know that my purpose here on this earth is being fulfilled. If you’ve read this far. Thank you! My journey with reiki has been nothing short of wild.

It all began over a decade ago when I experienced my first session. The gentle touch of the practitioner’s hands, coupled with the calming energy flowing through me, left me in a state of profound calm and introspection. It was a pivotal moment, opening my eyes to the idea of energy within our bodies.

Many years later, during a really rough battle with depression, reiki once again was brought into my life. During a yoga class, a simple touch while in child’s pose unleashed a huge blockage of emotions, allowing for a cathartic release unlike any other. (Honestly I laid there for the rest of the class gently sobbing) In that moment, I realized the transformative power of reiki, not only on a physical level but on a deep emotional and spiritual level as well. I got into my car and was like “wtf just happened!?”

Over the years as I’ve dived into the complexities of my own emotions the idea of incorporating reiki into my professional life as a hairstylist became increasingly appealing. The weight of my clients’ emotions, combined with my super sensitivity self, often left me feeling drained and depleted. It was during a session of EMDR therapy that my therapist suggested exploring reiki as a means of protecting and preserving my own energy from what I take on during my work.

Many believe it can attract positive relationships and enhance self-love. In the context of energy healing, rose quartz is thought to bring a sense of calmness and balance to one’s emotions. It’s a popular crystal for various metaphysical and spiritual practices.

It’s in the salon not only for myself but also for my clients! So many of you come in and share your struggles around relationships and even if you dont believe in all the “woo woo” I say any little bit helps!
