What You will Learn
- How to part the grid
- How to properly consider the best starting method
- Understanding of textures and density
- Understanding of beneficial products and harmful products
- How to properly start different loc methods (braid, two strand, interlocking tip to root)
- How to determine the amount of hair needed when adding extensions.
- How to determine which texture of hair will be best for starting depending on their texture
- How to secure extensions so they don't slip.
- How to repair extensions if any do slip (nape and edges are usually a bit finer allowing for slippage.)
- How to repair holes in the loc as they mature.
- How to properly wash and moisturize.
- How to properly educate and prepare your clients for the install and continued maintenance in n between appointments
- Understanding when it's necessary to turn a client away (this type of install is not meant for everyone it can do more harm than good in some cases)
- How to properly interlock the roots when installing and for continued maintenance.
- How to use various interlocking tools
- How to instant lock microlocs (can be done during installation or later on)
