The time has come to end our chapter as The Cottage Salon. We are excited that the space will live on as home to a salon that is putting down roots here in Durham.

So we bid you adieu
We write this note with the most grateful of hearts. The Cottage Salon was started on a dream and eager spirits. You have walked with us, grown with us, and taken part in one of the biggest joys in our lives. We look back over 10 years with humility at how you have served and loved us- we hope to have done the same.

We believe the salon is a place of healing. A place to come and revive the outer shell while finding rest on the inside. It’s a place to look kindly on yourself and remember you were fearfully and wonderfully made. It’s a place to gain friendship and trust with the people whose hands you place yourself in. It is somewhere to be reminded you are strong when you feel tired, and to remember true beauty is made of that inner strength.

We say goodbye as The Cottage Salon. The doors are not closing, but the torch will be passed on to what we believe is a beautiful extension of what we started many years ago. We look on to new seasons as a family and hope you find yourself sitting in a chair where you feel loved and taken care of -because as beauty industry professionals, that is our greatest pleasure.
