Yes the rumors are true...I had hand surgery yesterday. I hope to be back in the shop on the 30th.

As you know, the candy jar in the shop is always happy to welcome your extra post Halloween candy ;)

In 1984 when Jodi and I got out of Moler Barber School, our instructor-Phil M- told me "you're now 1 of about 32,000 Barbers in MN. Get out there and set yourself apart!" As of this year, there are less than 1900 barbers in Minnesota. There is no more apprenticeship, no Master barber program or license. We're ALL considered registered barbers. 10 months of school, take your boards and open a shop. In less than a year, a career and opening your own business is a real possibility. The oustate areas don't have barbers or cosmetologists for miles. Want to live on a lake? Get out of the city? There is such a great opportunity in barbering for those who don't want to college, or want to start a new career. If you know someone or you might be looking for a change, I'm always available for questions etc. I've been proud of my profession and would love to pass along any info I can give to anyone.

Let's see if "Don't Park Here" red works better than my previous polite signs. 78 cars- in now 10 years- I've had to have towed out of our spots. Let's hope this helps.
