Above the area where clippers were used, I used the scissor over comb technique. With a comb flat against the head, is equivalent to a “2 guard”. I left off at a 1.5. So I was able to have a nice natural transition from the area where clippers were used —> partial ridge. Nothing grinds my gears more than clippers brought up to partial ridge or higher. The grow out is no bueno. Always plan ahead. Plan for the grow out, plan for style process and what makes the clients life easier. On top I used deep point cutting so I could create deep peaks and valleys = lots of movement.
