It’s been a week since we lost my dad. The fire completely destroyed the house and because it was a two story on a hill, the house pretty much just collapsed into one big pile of debris.

Earlier in the week, we still had not been able to locate the remains of my dad or his dog Charlie. Cadaver dogs were sent out Thursday and they honed in on one particular area but they needed the help of the fire department to remove the debris.

Yesterday a CSI team along with detectives from El Dorado County were able to locate the remains of both my dad and Charlie. They were within feet of each other which means they went to heaven together ♥️

Both have been sent out to be fully cremated but a cause of the fire has still not been determined.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all of your love and support. We thank you for all the dinners you have brought us, the cards, gift cards, clothing, everything and anything that has been gifted to us over this last week.

We will not be holding a service until probably mid October. We want to give our family and close friends plenty of time to process all that has happened.

With her teeeeeny eyebrows, no wrinkles, little baby fat left in the cheeks, super straightened hair that I’m sure my mom or sister probably straightened with an actual iron 🤣🤣🤣 And I swear that is my real nose!!!⁣

Ugh what I would tell that young girl! ⁣

Boys are dumb. ⁣
Nothing good happens after dark. ⁣
It’s ok to be smart. ⁣
Boys are still dumb. ⁣
Boys that drive fast cars are TROUBLE.⁣
Same goes for lifted trucks. ⁣
Don’t ever tell your parents you hate them. ⁣
And for the love of Jesus… stop plucking your eyebrows!!!!!⁣

And most of those lessons still apply today. Especially when it comes to boys who drive fast cars and/or lifted trucks 🤣 ⁣

Happy to be on the other side of that long journey through! Hasn’t been easy but look at me now! I’m alive, kicking ass and taking names! ⁣

And very happy that I could tattoo my brows back onto my face and very blessed that I still don’t have any wrinkles 😉⁣

Yesterday I watched a documentary about Dolly Parton 🙌🏼 Lord I just love her. But mostly... I love how she’s just Dolly. She dresses how she wants, talks how she wants. She never plays a part, she’s just Dolly. ⁣

She knows people might make fun of her or not understand her choices... but she doesn’t care. She leaves the judgin to Jesus and I just love that. ⁣

In today’s world, it’s so easy to get caught up in other people’s opinions. If you post anything, you’re likely to get all sorts of people telling you how they feel about how you are living your life. But guess what y’all... at the end of the day, we have to love who we are regardless of what others think of us. ⁣

So today I’m telling you to do as Dolly does. Wake up. Makeup. Show up. Do you. And leave the judging to the good Lord above. Be kind. Love others and have a heart that shines. The rest is just sticks and stones 💗⁣
