They’re becoming less willing to sacrifice their bodies, relationships, and mental health just to survive in this industry.

For years we were told that success meant:

Working six days a week.

Taking every client.

Answering DMs at midnight.

Missing holidays.

Destroying our backs, shoulders, and wrists.

And wearing burnout like a badge of honor.

But now?

Hairstylists are asking a different question:

“Can I build a career that actually supports the life I want?”

They’re raising their prices.

They’re niching down.

They’re setting boundaries.

They’re working smarter instead of simply working more.

If you stop to think, the goal shouldn’t be working as many hours as possible.
