What was holding me back when I first started my permanent makeup journey 7 years ago?

There was a time when I believed local clients might not want to work with me because I wasn’t originally from the United States.

Looking back, that belief was one of the biggest things holding me back.

Instead of focusing on what I thought was a disadvantage, I decided to focus on becoming better at my craft. I invested in education, learned how to work with different skin types, and dedicated myself to creating customized brows that truly fit each person sitting in my chair.

But the biggest lesson wasn’t about brows.

It was about people.

I learned that every client has a different story, a different goal, and a different reason for wanting permanent makeup. Understanding why they chose me to work on their unique face became one of the most important parts of my job.

Real connection happens when we listen, understand their concerns, and treat them as individuals, not just another appointment on the calendar.

The old me focused on my insecurities.

The person I am today focuses on serving others the best way I can.

What once felt like a weakness became one of my greatest strengths.
