THE BLACK SHEEP

Growing up, Nick was a good kid.

His family valued hard work, success, and education. Many family members built successful careers with large corporations.

But after moving from California to Colorado, Nick struggled to find where he fit in.

He often describes himself as the black sheep of the family.

At 14 years old, searching for acceptance and belonging, he was introduced to methamphetamine.

One decision changed the course of his life.

I didn’t find CrossFit the way most people do.

My mom did CrossFit first.

As a kid, I spent countless hours sitting in the kids room while she worked out.

Eventually I got tired of watching.

I wanted to be part of it.

What started as curiosity quickly became passion.

Little did I know the gym would become one of the biggest influences in my life.

There were people who came and went throughout my life.

Relationships changed.

My mom.
My grandpa.
My brother.

Those became my constants.

Those became the foundation I could always come back to.

FAQ Friday.

The #1 question we get from people DMing us: ‘I’ve never picked up a barbell. Will CrossFit be too much?’

Answer: every member here started where you are. The barbell is a tool. We teach you how to use it the same way a coach teaches a kid to ride a bike - patient, hands on, with brakes.

Week 1 you’ll learn the air squat. Week 2 the deadlift. Week 3 the press. By week 8 you’ll be RX-ing workouts you couldn’t pronounce when you started.

Not if you don’t come back.
