Happy Spring/Ostara Witches ✨🌸 The Spring Equinox is a time where all of nature is in balance and we experience equal parts day and night. This is also reflected in us energetically as we begin to thaw from the winters cold and wake up alongside nature.

This week is especially potent as we are leaving Mercury retrograde, experiencing a new Moon, and entering Aries Season all in the same week as the Spring Equinox. Coupled along with the year of the Fire Horse, we should truly begin to feel alive and energetic as we start to blossom into who and what we will be creating this year 🌱

Take time to notice any inspired ideas, feelings, or events that take place this week. Also remember, Spring is a time of slow awakening - we are just beginning to feel the new movements of life and energy that are blooming all around us. Happy Imbolc Witches ✨🌱 Today marks the midway point between Winter and Spring, where the earth begins to wake up from its deep slumber and show signs of life awakening. This is a turning point in the wheel of time where nature is pregnant, with Imbolc literally translating to “in the belly.”

Today is represented by the Celtic goddess Brigid, who is the goddess of fire and healing. She represents the promise of renewal in dark times, and many celebrate by weaving a Brigid’s Cross from rush, hay, or straw. These were traditionally hung on doors in order to protect from hunger and evil.

Today we can begin to let go of the heaviness of winter and release what no longer serves as we prepare to do the work of the year ahead. You can connect with the energies of today by planting seeds/intentions for the year ahead, cleaning your space to allow for new energies to come in, or just notice little signs of nature coming back to life. My personal favorite way to celebrate is to burn all of the evergreens from December, metaphorically releasing energy from last year and allow room for new growth. Use today to prepare for Spring’s return as we celebrate light, joy, and a new season of growth ✨

Happy Yuletide Witches ✨ We are now in the window for Yule, marking the beginning of the Winter Solstice and the official start of more sunlight in the days ahead ☀️❄️ December 21st marks the longest night of the year, with the following three days having equal daylight where the sun appears to be standing still. This represents a collective pause where you are encouraged to reflect on your accomplishments for the year, as well as what you would like your intentions to be for the year ahead.

Yule is such a beautiful time where cultures all around the world celebrate the return of the Sun as a symbolic rebirth and a turning of the year. Take time to commune with friends and family, decorate your space, or cook a special meal using seasonal ingredients 🎄

Yule can also be celebrated with stillness and stability. Take time to hibernate and rest alongside the rest of nature. Even if you do nothing but sleep, know you are aligned with the earth’s cycles of dormancy. Conserve your energy, as next year will be a time of great movement and change ✨🔥

This week we celebrate Samhain, representing the next turn of the wheel of time towards the season of darkness and reflection. Samhain is the mid-way point between Fall and Winter, and the last of the three harvests of the year. During this time we take stock of any final accomplishments, express gratitude for what we have cultivated during the year, and release anything that didn’t come to fruition. Now we can clear out our literal and metaphorical garden, pruning back the dead foliage and picking any last fruit that off the trees for our bounty 🧡

Celebrate the day, and even the season ahead, by having a large celebratory bonfire, doing shadow work journaling to work through any hardships or setbacks you had in this year, reflecting on what you would like to release that no longer serves you, or practicing your favorite divination rituals to get clarity or guidance on the year ahead. Since the veil is thin, you can also setup an altar for ancestors or loved ones who have passed. Leave offerings of food, alcohol, flowers, and candles as a way to honor their life and bring blessings to them in the afterlife.

As we move into the darker months, it is natural to feel more reflective and have your energy directed inward. Take more time for rest, be intentional about time about slow moments, and practice being extra nourishing with yourself ✨

Happy October Witches ✨ October feels like the month we wait all year for, and in many ways this month is the great rebalancing before we hibernate for the winter. October mostly occurs during Libra Season with Libra being the night-ruler of Venus. Although the Sun is in Fall in Libra, this energy invites us to be more conscious and reflective rather than outward focused and ego-driven. This is represented by the scales that symbolize Libra as well, calling for balance and harmony with our environment.

The veil is also thinning as nature lets go and embraces the change of death and rebirth. It is easier to hear messages and feel signs from those who have crossed over, so an altar or a sacred space can help give you a setting for giving and receiving that energy.

Take time this month to take an inventory of your year: What’s next for you? In what areas do you need to let go? What magic can you call in? Enjoy the beauty and wonder of change all around you! Be intentional with gratitude, and embrace the energy of cardinal Fall in all its splendor ✨

Today is also the second of the the three harvests of the year where we take stock of everything we have grown and accomplished in our lives 🌾

Today is also a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Virgo, representing a time of great clarity, releasing, and karmic events. This is the second Eclipse this month following the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the Full Moon on September 7th. As we exit the eclipse window, we are invited to realign our lives to our highest potential, reorganizing and shedding anything that no longer serves us as we enter a new chapter and season.

The Eclipse, New Moon, and the Equinox together ask us to be walk into a new chapter with gratitude and a renewed sense of self. Step into this season with a new skin and clear goals, releasing anything that holds you back from your highest potential. Spend the day reflecting on what you would like your life to look like in the seasons ahead, processing any loss or events that asked your to surrender, and give gratitude to all the blessings to what you have achieved ✨
