LONG LIVE BARBERING! A quick shots out to our team .hair.design & for completing and getting certification, in Blood Pathogen precaution and best practices. Now required by Oregon Health Licensing Office in partnership with the legal licenses, barbers and cosmetologist must hold. We also have gained a new facility license for our building #2 expansion. So we're excited for the new year with new and fresh certifications. We now have two buildings designed for barbering. Getting licensed is a wonderful way to obviously stay legal as a professional, but it also shows respect to the past and present history of American barbering, and those who continue to improve the craft of barbering, as well as the ultimate respect, which is to our customers, who trust us to not only make them look wonderful, but as well, TRUST us to keep them safe.

The Squad really threw down with great costumes, fun energy, and really created an energetic atmosphere for all our customers. Big shots out to our party planner .hair.design, our house clown and split personalities for getting the shop hyped! The Grinch of Halloween had to admit, that these characters put a smile on his face, and he enjoyed the positive energy they put out! He even got into costume, which is about as rare as a Sasquatch sighting. We hope everybody had fun, was safe, and enjoyed this week of festivities. 🎃🎃🎃🎃

BACK AGAIN! Whether you're an og or rookie in the barber game, you always learn something from Rory. A true professional barber, a student of the craft, and an excellent entertainer, you will really enjoy Rory, simply for who he is. A friend of the shop, we'd like to welcome him back home, and we'd love for you to join us! The class is free!

Royal Avenue Barbershop would like to step up and be better teammates, with our customers, to speak words that lead to the benefit of each other, the community and culture we have built together, and to those we know as family, and to those we know as strangers. Our shop has been built not simply for barbering, but as a location, to feel refreshed, listened to, acknowledged, and most importantly, loved. Obviously we preform these things through the craft of barbering, but we want to welcome everybody, to take the time to think, before we speak, and to show intent, not perfection, in speaking words that lead to benefit. This is a boundary, and for those that take this boundary lightly, you will politely be asked to remove yourself, from any destructive talk. And if that request is trespassed, you will be treated as a trespasser peacefully, and asked not to return. We all know we need to be better, but instead of knowing, we're moving to action. Our action is simple, we are moving with action, to practice awareness of self, awareness of what we hear, to partner with accountability for each other, so that we maybe all benefit from each others presence, to enjoy refreshing each other, and being agents of peace, so that we all may feel loved, honored, and respected, in this harsh, wicked, and twisted world.
