What if I told you… becoming an esthetician wasn’t in my plan?

I actually didn’t have a plan. Five years ago, becoming an esthetician wasn’t about following a passion—it was about survival. I was a stay at home mom that became a single mom with nothing to fall back on, I needed a way to provide for my little boy. I called a longtime friend who was an experienced esthetician (and single mom!) and asked, “Can I make money doing this?” She said yes, so… I took a leap of faith into the unknown.

In esthetic school, something amazing happened—what started as a necessity turned into a full. on. passion. I fell in love with skin health, helping clients feel confident, and the art of self-care. Fast forward a few years, and when the mentor I worked for moved on to other ventures, I decided to bet on myself. Even though I had no idea how to run a business, I had loyal clients, determination, and a dream.

Today, I’m celebrating the 1-year anniversary of NŪD Skin x Brows. This has been the hardest, most rewarding year of my life. Balancing motherhood, personal challenges, and starting my business from scratch wasn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for every step of this journey.
