The flashing is in the gap between two scopes. Nobody priced the gap. ๐งฑ
Siding says it stops at the window trim. The window crew says their job ends at the nailing fin. The wall between them gets wet in January, and suddenly everyone has a very clear memory of whose scope it wasn't.
Most callbacks don't start inside a trade. They start on the line where one trade ends and the next begins.
Walk every transition before anyone picks up a nail gun, and put one name next to each one.
Which transition gets forgotten on your jobs? Drop it below ๐ and tag the super who's had to chase it.

Two crews. One lift. One hour of daylight left. ๐๏ธ
On a multi-trade job, the most expensive piece of equipment is usually the one nobody scheduled. Siding wants the lift at 7. Paint wants it at 7. The window crew already parked it right where they need it.
Nobody was wrong. Nobody owned it.
Shared equipment, access and staging belong on the schedule, not in a hallway argument. The fix is boring: one plan, one sequence, said out loud at the morning huddle.
What's the shared-gear standoff you've seen on a job? Drop it below ๐ and tag the super who's refereed it.

The next trade walks in and the floor is still covered in the last trade's offcuts. ๐งน
Nobody planned it. Drywall finished Thursday, the ceiling crew starts Friday, and the walkway between them is a mix of scrap, cords and open edges that belong to nobody.
On a multi-trade site, most safety and schedule problems start right there: the handoff nobody owned. The fix is boring and it works. Clear your own area before you leave, and walk the floor with the next crew before they start.
Tag the super who runs the cleanest floor you've ever worked on. And what's the first thing you check on a site walk? ๐

Every color break on a facade is a handoff. ๐จ The siding crew sets the line, the trim crew follows, and the painter has to hit that line cleanly, floor after floor. If the break sits a half inch off between two elevations, the whole building reads crooked from the street.
That's why the good ones get the layout settled before the first board goes up, not after the first coat of paint.
Tag the painter who can cut a line you could set a level on. ๐ And where's the one place you always check a color break first?

The drywall finisher on stilts isn't showing off. The finisher is buying the crew an hour. ๐ช
Every seam above the 4-foot line is a ladder trip, and every ladder trip is time the next trade spends waiting. Stilts, a good eye and a steady hand keep the schedule moving so paint can start when it's supposed to.
Nobody posts about this part of the build, but it's the difference between a clean handoff and one that costs a day.
Tag the finisher who makes it look easy. ๐ And what's the one skill on your jobsite nobody gives credit for?

From the street, it's a few homes. From the sky, it's a sequencing problem. ๐
Every roof, wall and trim line in these shots had a crew arriving on a specific day, with another crew waiting on them. Stack that across a whole site and the schedule stops being a calendar. It becomes a traffic plan.
That's the part nobody sees from the ground: the handoffs.
๐ฌ Supers and PMs: which handoff on a big site always costs you a day? Tell us below.
๐ท๏ธ Tag the super who runs a site like this.

"Can you start Monday?" ๐
Every super has made that call. And every sub who says yes without a crew plan is borrowing from a job that's already running.
Lead time isn't a delay. It's the time it takes to put the right crew, the right material and the right sequence on your wall, instead of whoever happened to be free.
Two to four weeks of notice is how a start date turns into a finish date.
Supers: what's the shortest notice a sub ever gave you that actually worked out? ๐ Tag the GC who still says "we'll figure it out Monday."

The siding crew shows up Monday. The weather barrier went on weeks ago. Then the rain came. ๐ง๏ธ
Now every wall has a question nobody wrote down: how long was that sheathing exposed, and who checked it before we covered it?
In Puget Sound, October isn't the end of exterior season. It's the season where sequencing is the whole job. Wrap, flash, side and close it in on one calendar, with one crew lead who owns the dry-in.
Supers: what's the longest a wall has sat open on one of your jobs? ๐ Tag the builder who's lived this one.

From above, a big multifamily job looks like one building. ๐ข
On the ground, it's a dozen trades handing off to each other in the right order, and the schedule only holds if somebody owns the handoffs in between.
That's the part the drone shot never shows. Siding can't start until the windows are in. Paint can't finish until the siding is done. One late trade quietly moves everyone behind it.
Scale works when the crews, the schedule and the PM stay connected from the first trade to the last. ๐ค
What's the first thing that slips on a big multifamily job? Drop it below, and tag the super who has lived it. ๐

Every window on a building is a handoff between four trades. ๐ช
The framer sets the rough opening. The weather barrier gets lapped around it. The window goes in. Then the siding and trim close it up.
When one of those steps lands out of order, nobody sees it on the day. It shows up as a stain under the sill a couple of winters later, and suddenly everyone remembers it was somebody else's scope.
Openings aren't a product. They're a sequence. Protect the sequence and the building stays dry.
What's the opening detail you've seen go wrong most? Drop it below, and tag the super who's had to chase it. ๐
