I really do love a traditional hair paint. It’s my happy place. My “comfy sweatpants” service if you will. 😂. It’s creative. I break out my chip paint brush and your hair is my canvas! I get to paint the highs but allow enough negative space so they pop! 💥

I forgot a “before” but we did a good chop on Christy before doing her balayage. It’s soft and the grow out will last her till she’s ready to come back in for a refresh. (4-6 months)

The last time I did Nina’s was hair five years ago! She had just started college and I was fresh out of hair school. Today, she’s about to graduate nursing school and start her career as an ER nurse and I’m still doing what I love. So much to be grateful for. 💕

…And she wanted to be brighter, but with dimension, and a choppy haircut. I think we accomplished that!

Dimension drop 🤎

One of my favorite things to do! I love adding dark in a thoughtful, organic way. The dark will make your brighter pieces pop!

I love that Pam let’s me do whatever I want. But she also felt too dark…so we had to brighten it up! I’m loving how it came out!

Copper melt for this pretty today! No lightener, but a Demi permanent color which will fade slowly over time. Demi permanent color is a fun way to play with color with the safety of knowing it’s not permanent!

Hard to believe this is my 12 year old daughter, Olivia! Dad and brother were gone for a long weekend away so we had time to play at the salon on Saturday. 🥰Lots of pics and videos of it straight and curly, which I never get normally! It had been nine months since I had done her color and it still held up pretty well! I took her pretty blonde before and wanted to tone it down and add some warmth back in for winter.

Starting canvas: old highlights

Goal: Add dimension (lowlights), brighten (highlights), blur line of demarcation to have longevity in her grow out.

Process: foliage (balayage in foils), lowlights, root smudge, tone.

Lived-in, sun-kissed balayage for the win. :)
