Good morning everyone! It has been a crazy weekend at The Huckle Hut. We have had so many people reaching out to us that I guess best way to get out the info would be here. On Friday our house was struck by lightening. It caused a small fire in the attic. Some of our AC ducts were on fire which caused black smoke to go through the house. The team of emergency responders that showed up to help us was amazing. Fairhope, Silverhill, Barnwell and Riviera Utilities. We are fine, the dogs are fine and the house is mostly fine. The team of people that have come together to get our house back to normal have been amazing. Starting with of course my family who were here immediately when I called!! 911 who kept me calm. Whitney Cadwell Electric, Timothy Ryals, who showed up immediately to get our electrical fixed so we could turn the power back on. Ryan Caswell, Baldwin County Roofing sent out his team to tarp our roof to keep out the rain. Then Josh Henderson, from Baldwin County Roofing came out to access the damage and had a report to insurance within 24 hours. Paul Davis Emergency Services of Baldwin County showed up same day to get an estimate on damage of the interior of the house and get us a giant portable AC unit to keep house cool. Mitchell Wade, from PDESBC, has been amazing making sure that we will have the house back to normal as soon as possible. Joe Miller, from Heads Heating and Air was her yesterday. It may be possible to have our AC restored by this weekend. Last but now least, Mark Stejskal, my insurance agent, thank you for making sure we have the right insurance for our home. So far, everything has been approved for repair.

Thank you everyone who has reached out to us. It has been a very showing experience to just remind me what a great place we live.
