Important Update: New Policy for Children’s Safety & Spa Environment at The Mane House

For almost three years, The Mane House has been proud to be a welcoming, family-friendly salon and spa. The comfort, safety, and experience of all our guests—clients, stylists, and service providers—remain our top priority.

Unfortunately, over the past year we have experienced nearly $1,000 in damages due to unattended children in the salon. We have also had repeated complaints with children running, yelling, and playing throughout the space.

It’s important to note that The Mane House is not only a salon, but also a spa. Our back rooms are dedicated treatment rooms where guests are receiving relaxing services such as facials, massages, and other spa treatments that require a calm, quiet environment. Noise from the salon—especially running and yelling—echoes directly into these rooms and disrupts those experiences.

Because of these concerns, and to ensure a safe, respectful, and relaxing environment for everyone, we are implementing the following policy effective immediately:

Children & Supervision Policy
• All children must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
• Children must stay seated with their parent, or remain within arms reach, and may not roam the salon.
• Running, yelling, or playing in common areas is not permitted.

Prohibited Activities
• Running through the salon or spa areas
• Entering treatment rooms/shampoo area unnecessarily
• Touching/climbing on equipment, products, or furniture
• Any behavior that disrupts services or creates safety concerns

Our staff has been instructed to kindly enforce this policy.

We truly understand that this is a change, and it is not directed at the many attentive, respectful parents we love and appreciate. However, these guidelines are necessary to protect our space, reduce damages, and preserve the elevated and relaxing salon-and-spa experience The Mane House is known for.

Mane House family,

One of our fellow community members has suffered a terrible loss. Fire Inspector, Penny Phillips, lost her home in a structure fire on December 1st. Penny is known in the community as being kind and extremely giving. Now, it is our turn to give what we can to Penny. We are selling tickets for a chance to win a goodie basket valued at $550. Raffle tickets are $5 each. If you are not in a position to buy tickets, we are asking you to cover Penny in prayer as she navigates the loss of her home and fur babies.

You may purchase raffle tickets at the salon, or by Venmo and putting “Penny” in the description. The winner of the raffle will be announced Christmas Eve.

• Two Years •

The Mane House turns two today, and we couldn’t be more proud! What started as a dream (or a “what if” conversation) has grown into something more beautiful than we ever imagined.

We’re so grateful for God’s favor, the love of our families, and the support of friends and clients who’ve cheered us on every step (and strand) of the way!
