I have been following the information related to COVID-19 as businesses prepare to re-open. I have been listening to interviews and talking to other business owners; also reading many articles, and getting very excited to re-open, even though we do not know the exact date yet.

Business will be different when we return, due to the COVID-19, as we need to follow the CDC, State, and County guidelines to keep all of us safe, healthy and comfortable. We will do our absolute best to make sure we are in compliance.

While Salon Pavlina was closed, we removed all the furnishings, and basically took it apart and had it professionally cleaned and sanitized. We installed new flooring and wainscoting (non-porous surfaces), purchased a new anti-fatigue mat for our stylists, and we are waiting delivery of new guest chairs for the reception area. I spent many relaxing hours painting and missing the hustle and bustle of our place. It was odd being there alone on a regular workday, being so quiet with no one in the parking lot and no one walking in. I realized I missed the phone ringing constantly and out of control 😊

I would love to notify our clients that we will take all the precautionary measures during this time. All stylists will have an empty station in between to ensure proper social distancing. Stylists will wear masks at all time, and we will ask clients to do the same. We will keep all surfaces and tools clean, wiped, disinfected and sanitized. We will wash and sanitize our hands frequently, and sanitizers will also be available to our clients. Unfortunately, clients will not be able to bring others with them to the salon and caregivers will be required to wait at their vehicles. We will not be able to double book, to maintain social distancing. We will not be serving coffee or tea for now and the Tootsie Rolls everyone loves so much are hidden😉 We will also not have any magazines out or product displayed so we can keep surfaces clean and sanitized often.

The check-in procedure may require pre-screening questions and infrared temperature checks. These have been required at many places of business during the early opening period in other states.

Please, know that everyone’s good health and safety is a priority when visiting Salon Pavlina. We are all very excited, energized and ready!! Stay safe, be kind and we cannot wait to see you!!
