Keep our planet healthy by properly recycling your skincare containers. Here’s how:

1. Remove any leftover product
2. Thoroughly clean the container
3. Put it in the correct recycle bin

Not sure if your containers are recyclable? Just look for the recycle symbol at the bottom of the container. It’s always good to double-check before putting any containers in the recycle bin.

Is the skincare you’re using safe for the environment? Here’s how you can tell in
just three steps:

1). Is the skincare brand cruelty-free?

This means the product is not tested on animals. If it is, it will usually say so on the container. You can also look on the company’s website for details on how hey develop their products.

2). Does the brand use artificial or natural ingredients?

Check the ingredients list for natural botanicals, such as aloe vera, jojoba and shea butter. Avoid products with artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals as these are bad for your skin as well as the environment.

3). Does the brand use sustainable packaging?

This means the containers are made of recyclable, biodegradable or compostable materials to reduce carbon emissions and environmental footprint. Look for a recycle symbol at the bottom of the container. This tells you that the packaging is eco-friendly.

So, is your skincare eco-friendly? If not, don’t worry. Rosacea (roe-ZAY-she-uh) is a common skin condition that usually affects the
face and causes abnormal flushing, vascular damage and pimples.

About 415 million people in the world have rosacea, yet 95% of them don’t
realize it until they’re diagnosed. That’s because people get rosacea confused
with acne, erythema or sensitive skin.

You can tell you have rosacea when your face:
• Flushes easily
• Stays red for up to several weeks
• Has red or pus-filled bumps
• Feels oily and rough
• Has red lines or splotches (vascular damage)

You won’t see blackheads or whiteheads like you would with acne.

If you think you have rosacea, talk to a dermatologist. An esthetician can then
help you manage your symptoms so you feel comfortable and confident in
your skin.
