As individuals age, oil production decreases, making once-weekly washing sufficient, unless oil production remains high, necessitating twice-weekly washing. It is essential to recognize that a dirty scalp can impede hair growth, cause dandruff, and clog pores. Although minor dirt accumulation is harmless, a odor signals the need for washing.
