The question is “Can my bad PMU be corrected?”
The answer is Yes. Swipe to see 👉
This client had eyeliner done elsewhere. Her desire was a brown liner with blended purple shadow.
So where did it go wrong?
1. The artist should have NEVER connected the eyeliner through the outer corner. The client was very lucky to not have migration (blow out) in the corners of her eyes. Not even laser can remove that type of mistake.
2. Both the black liner and purple shading were blotchy and uneven. The right eye had significantly more color than the left, and the shapes did not match.
3. The design was unrefined, and did not suit her eye shape.
So how did I correct this?
Fortunately, this client was very open to my input, and was flexible on how she let me approach this (this is key in corrections). While I cannot take away what is already there, we made lemonade from lemons.
First, I corrected the shape, so it would lift and accentuate her eyes. On the lower liner, I blended out the uneven areas, and carried it all the way across the lash line, to create better balance between the top and lower liners.
To correct the colors, I used a warm brown to soften the black. Using the same brown, I shaded over the purple, to help blend the two colors more effortlessly. The brown will blend with the purple, giving it more of a “plumb” tone.
This is only the result after the FIRST session. I will see this client again to ensure everything is healing and blending properly.
Once healed, this look won’t be quite as bold as shown in these after photos. I’m thankful for this client allowing me to share her story and photos - it is my goal to spread awareness about choosing your PMU artist carefully.
