Extensions are such a fun investment, but that's just it. They're an investment! So how do you protect your investment?

1- Hydrate. Use heat protection before styling, masks when conditioning, and oils daily to keep the ends in good condition. Quality products really make a difference in hair that lasts 3-6 months or hair that lasts 6,9,12 months.

2- Brushing. Especially if you have more than one row, brushing daily makes sure you don't get big knots between rows. If you know you're rough on your hair, hold the top of your row where it's attached. This makes sure too much tension isn't put on your natural hair where the beads are. It prevents slipping and damage.

3-Blow drying. Even if you plan to air dry, use your blow dryer at the seam of your row. In hand-tied wefts, if too much moisture stays, it will cause the stitching to swell and effects the longevity of the weft. It can potentially begin to unravel in the middle if there is too much swelling.
