I feed a colony of feral cats in Ayden and have gotten most of them spayed/neutered and returned. Some have been adopted for barn cats. I know all of the ones that live there and some have gone missing and I'm afraid it's due to coyotes. Last week one of the grey males went missing and he had started letting me pet him. I was really worried. When I went Wednesday to feed I called out kitty kitty like I do for them to get their food. Well I heard screaming faintly and went to the sound and it was a cat trapped in a grinder!! I didn't know how I would get him out and called Ayden fire department and no answer. So I called 911 and talked with the sheriff and nobody comes out to rescue! Now the cat was stuck in the neck of the grinder and had been there for a week!! My husband came over to help and we were finally able to take the grinder apart to get to him. Poor thing was so happy to be free! I took him to Welcome Waggin where the best vet Dr. Worthington checked him over and he had lost to 4 Ibs! I have him now in my foster room getting acclimated to the indoor life! He will be up for adoption as soon as he's gained enough weight. Poor little guy will never have to live outside again!

Three more ready for adoption 😻

Sorry I've been absent 🙏 Things have been super busy since April 2025. I started with a mama cat that I trapped from a colony I feed. It turns out she was pretty pregnant. I kept her to let her have her litter. Three tiny babies came shortly after. Then at the colony she came from I found 8 tiny babies over a week. Two of the mama cats out there had brought their litters to the carport where there is no shelter for them. So what could I do but scoop them up?! This is cautionary to isolate any additional kittens, I thought all of them living in the same area would be okay from exposure. They all ended up with and I lost two pretty soon after. The tortie from Mama cat didn't make it or the tiniest tabby I found. All of them ended up in the hospital for five days. 😿😿 They were all week in the beginning but kittens really do bounce back quickly once the threat is over. I've now been busy spaying and neutering and getting them ready for adoption 🙏 Two girls have been adopted out and one boy so far 😻 so now I have six left! 💜💜💜💜💜💜 ❤️

This little boy is a year old today! Wish Chandler a Happy Birthday 🎂🎈🎁 He was found in a ditch with four other kittens that were a week old and he sadly is the only survivor and a thriver! I love this little guy so very much! 😻 ❤️

This is my foster Kingston. He was found in a hoarding house where he was in a cage on a deck with no litter box and stained yellow from urine. He was terrified when I got him last year in May. I worked with him until he finally trusted me and would sleep with me at night. I believed he was getting close to being ready to finally put up for adoption. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that he was getting thinner and wanted to eat but would take a couple of licks and gag. I took him to his doc and she put him on meds and IV fluids. His lab results were just worse and didn't really know what was going on in his body. She did an ultrasound and found that his little body was full of tumors and his red blood cell count was only 7, he was so anemic and the only thing we could do was humanely euthanize. I held him and comforted him in his last moments on earth. I just pray I'm reunited with him one day. 😿 He was such a joy and seeing him play and be loved was awesome to experience. When a cat goes from being so distressed and fearful to loving life and trusting you completely is why we do rescue. I just thought he would go on to have a long life. He was only 2-3 years old and it wasn't enough time. RIP Kingston, I'll miss you and I love you 😿🙏❤️🌈 Beare Garden Animal Rescue 🌈

Yikes 😳 the weekend is ending soon!!

I've been trying to figure out how to post this and there is no good way but four of my babies died from parvo two days ago. Ariel has been hanging on for two days, she hasn't eaten still but they tube fed her today. They let me know about an hour ago that they were going to do an emergency surgery on her to try to save her. She's throwing up black stuff which is her intestinal lining. She's going to try and clean it out. Please pray my little girl pulls through and can survive this terrible infection. 🙏🙏🙏 Kitten season is unreal this season.
