1. Your extensions need bedtime care too. Never go to bed with wet extensions. Make sure the roots and attachment points are completely dry, then loosely braid or ponytail your hair before sleeping. A silk or satin pillowcase can also help reduce friction, tangling, and that morning “what happened back there?” situation.

2. Oil is your friend—but not at the attachment. Extensions don’t receive natural scalp oils the way your own hair does, so the mids and ends need extra moisture. Use a lightweight extension-safe oil or serum, but keep oils, heavy conditioners, and masks away from bonds, tapes, beads, or attachment points to help prevent slipping and buildup.

3. Brush like your investment depends on it… because it does. Hold your extensions near the attachment point and gently brush from the ends upward using an extension-safe brush. Daily brushing—especially around the nape—is one of the easiest ways to prevent matting, tangling, and unnecessary tension on your natural hair.
