Every year that passes amazes me. If God is willing, it will be my honor and joy to color hair for so many wonderful people for the rest of my working life. In my heart of hearts, I’m nowhere near being done.

Every year there are new and exciting trends. New classes to take, new people to meet and serve. New stories to hear and share with my treasured clients who are more like friends.

Every year I say “how could I possibly love this career any more than I already do” yet every year that love grows bigger.

My hope for my clients is they feel lighter when they leave the salon. That they feel welcome, truly cared for, accepted, and beautiful from the inside radiating outward, for the truest beauty is to be yourself.

It’s not the norm for me to be the client. Let me publicly say Mr. Trae Marler didn’t cut any corners with me or spare his professionalism, even though we work together and know each other. He’s a kindhearted and genuine person who truly loves his profession. It’s an honor to work with him and it was especially a treat to spend time in his chair. He made me look like a queen but I left feeling like one too.

Studio No. 1 is a very special place. It’s not just a salon, it’s not just a place we go to make a living, it’s a bouquet of beauty professionals who put their hearts and souls into their work and into the clients they serve. I’m humbled and blessed to be 1 small part of it and I 100% back everyone who works under this roof.
