I get asked a lot of questions about Lip Neutralization. Let's debunk the myths together..

1. Lip Neutralization only takes 1 treatment. This treatment is definitely not a 1 and done service. Depending on how dark the lips are and the goal of the client will determine how many sessions they will need. On average it takes 2 sessions for the best results. However it is not uncommon for someone to need 3 sessions.

2. This is a treatment ONLY for women! This treatment is for everyone. Both men and women get their lips neutralized. It helps maximize their appearance as well as their confidence.

3. Lip Neutralization is only done on people of color! If you have melanin or any form of hyperpigmentation in your lips this treatment is for you! At the end of the day it's all about color theory.

4. Lip Neutralization is only for smokers! Alot of people who smoke do get this service done. However every case is not the same. Some are from smoking, some are from genetics! There are many reasons why people have dark lips and smoking is not the only reason.

5. Lip Neutralization is a form of lip filler! ABSOLUTELY NOT! People think just because they see swollen lips that someone has lip filler done. Not completely true. The lips are a very sensitive area and they are prone to swelling which is normal. The swelling subsides within 24 hours.

These are just a few myths I have heard while performing this treatment. I hope this gives you better insight on what Lip Neutralization is and what to expect.

If you don't know Lip Blushing is a cosmetic lip tattooing procedure that entails implanting color into an individual's lips to add color and sometimes fullness to their lips.

Lip Blushing can last up to 1-3 years or longer depending on the persons skin type and lifestyle.

Lip Blushing typically takes 2 sessions for best results! In order to receive this treatment your lips MUST already be light enough naturally with no hyperpigmentation or melanin in them.

Microshading is a Permanent Makeup Technique used to implant pigments "not makeup but will look like makeup" between the epidermis & dermis layers of the skin. Or known as the 1st and 2nd layer of the skin.

The term "ombré" is a French word that means "shade". It is commonly used in the beauty world to create a gradient effect from dark to light. Ombré Brows can be created to have a soft or more defined effect.

What is Lip Neutralization? A technique done on the lips to color correct or neutralize the darkness (hyperpigmentation) found in a persons lips. We are essentially helping to lighten the lips through tattooing. For the best results 2 sessions are recommended.

Lips will typically swell which is normal. Swelling is temporary (This is not Lip injections/filler) and will subside within 24-48 hours.
