3 months post op for skin cancer and here we go again! I’m currently being treated with chemo cream for 3 spots on my forehead! I can’t stress enough how important it is for the younger generations to protect their skin! These spots are not a result of bad skin care now, it’s from years of previous exposure! Wish I knew then what I know now!! 🥺

Week 4 & 6 - No makeup in Week 6
The healing process is going well. I do have some keloid/scar tissue on part of the incision. My plastic surgeon has suggested doing some lasers and massage treatments to the scar. Unfortunately this type of treatment is costly and can take multiple sessions. The swelling is slowly going down which is great but it also makes the scar look more noticeable. 😔
I know Summer is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean sunscreen application stops! I also know there is concern about certain sunscreens that have toxic chemicals in it. I will say this - do your research! Look for zinc oxide as the main ingredient. I will say I have changed my foundation to Colorscience Flex. It has 12% zinc oxide and I love the coverage!! It has a matte finish and I use Colorscience SPF powder to set it.
