Most clients are afraid of the initial “sharpee” style brows and think they’d heal too dark for their liking. However, during the initial session, because we are working on a blank canvas, it’ll heal 40-60% lighter.

The second session usually requires less color because the shape has already been created. Therefore, this session will mainly be focused on defining the shape, adding more pigment to gaps or parts that didn’t take the pigment, and adjusting the color and tone (such as, warming or cooling tones). During the touch up session, if you’d like to go darker, this would be the time we focus on that.

One of the questions I ask all of my clients is how often they wear makeup so that I can adjust their brow color based on their daily routine.

This client requested for more of a natural look since she doesn’t wear makeup very often. At her touch up, she requested for her brows to be slightly darker, so I only added a thin layer of color so that once it’s healed, it’ll be slightly darker than the first round.

Ombré Powder Brows Technique is a great route to go if you’re wanting more defined, fuller and natural looking brows. They can last anywhere between 1-3 years.
