Hello! J Adams Salon clients, I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to let you know that as of 8/20/22 I will no longer be working at the Lodge in Cramerton. I will be moving to Spa South Salon located at
3810 S. New Hope Rd
Gastonia NC, 28056.
The new location is approximately 2 miles from the Lodge. Absolutely nothing will change other than the location, I’ll even have my own private room. I’m excited about this new adventure, and I pray that you will come with me. If I have not reached out to you personally, I absolutely will within the next couple days, I just want to get the message out there now. This has been a very quick and smooth transition. I hope this isn’t an inconvenience to anyone!! I made sure my location was close to the Lodge while ensuring I had a private room, to keep our atmosphere the same.

I would just like to thank my clients for trusting me. I feel honored that during these unprecedented times you know and trust that I am taking every precaution I can to ensure your health and safety! My days go a little something like this... remove hair from chair, use Lysol wipe on chair, sweep floor, clean shears, spray brushes, clean clippers, spray clippers, wipe clipper cords, clean product bottles, clean phone and credit card square, clean sink, shampoo chair, nozzle and handle, clean hairdryer, curling iron and flat irons and cords, wipe handles on my station, clean door handle to the salon, dispose of dirty towel get clean towel get, dispose dirty cape get clean cape, wash hands use hand sanitizer, before after and during every appt, take towels and capes home to wash at night.... And I don’t mind one bit, to be at the salon seeing my salon family is worth every single minute of cleaning!! You all have been so kind and generous to take care of me, and please know, I am doing everything possible to take care of you!! ❤Jennifer

Hello Salon Family,

I hope each and everyone of you are doing well. I would like to say first and foremost, I MISS YOU!! I miss my creative outlet and making you look and feel beautiful. More so, I miss our talks our laughs and even our tears. This stay at home gig isn’t for me!

I’m reaching out to you to give an update on the current status of re-opening. As of now, salons are apart of phase 2 and that is looking like we could possibly be May 22nd @ 5pm.

I know you are more than ready to get scheduled and have your hair done, I am equally as excited and ready. I’m so thankful to have a business to come back to, I’ve been blessed by you, my amazing clients! Currently, I am not scheduling appointments, I am waiting for an opening date and I need more information on restrictions for salons. Once I get this information I will be reaching out to you. I feel it is only fair for me to start scheduling clients that have missed their appointment dating back to March 26th and move forward from there. Don’t panic, I am going to work more days/hours to get everyone in.

Listed below are the sanitation guidelines I implemented the beginning of March, (I have adjusted them a little please read) these will remain and I will update with any new information I’m given from the Governors office and/or NC State Board. I have also completed and received certification through Barbicide on disinfecting and sanitation to ensure I have covered all bases.

I ask that if you or anyone in your home have a fever, cough, shortness of breath.... please let me know ASAP so we can reschedule. Please be fever/symptom free for a solid 24hours without a fever reducer before coming to the salon. I will also follow this same guideline and will let you know if myself or immediate family member present any symptoms.

When you arrive at the salon, if I have a client please do not enter the salon. I’m trying to limit the amount of people in the salon at any given time, there is a bench across the hall, you may have a seat. Or you can text me when you arrive and wait in your car, I will let you know when to come in. I will, between each client sanitize/disinfect with the highest grade cleaner available to our trade. All tools, equipment, chairs, sinks will be disinfected before the next client is allowed to enter. I have hand sanitizer available for you to use as needed (preferably before and after your appt). Each client will receive a freshly laundered cape and towel and each will be disposed and laundered after every use. I will have mask available for you and I to wear. I want to do everything I can to protect you and your family as well as mine. I appreciate your business and loyalty especially in such uncertain times. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable making an appointment please don’t hesitate to express your concerns. I don’t mind answering any questions you may have. I won’t be offended if you want to postpone, I understand we all have different circumstances and I respect you and your decision.

Hello salon family,

I pray each and everyone of you are safe and healthy! There has been some confusion regarding appointment reminders. I thought I had turned all notifications off but I had not. If you have received a notification reminding you of your appointment, please disregard. Unfortunately, J Adams Salon is closed. I am very hopeful to be back on April 29th provided the government doesn’t extend our time. Once the mandatory closure is lifted, I will work endlessly to get you all fixed up!

Nice visual and explanation as to why we ask about color history and how important it is for the client to be upfront and honest! Our main goal is to reach the color you wish for,while protecting the integrity of your hair. Be patient it could take a few appts to reach your desired look.

When you open the foil up and it’s like a Kinder Surprise - ↘️
Your client comes in for a Platinum Card or even a Balayage service and your strand test has pulled these results what would you do!?

Hey clients I LOVE you I adore you and remember we’re the good guys but sometimes we gotta be the bad guys and let you know how far we can push a service which sometimes may give you unfavourable results

There’s a couple of issues here with the strand test:
1️⃣ See that mid section area - although your regrowth is nice and bright unfortunately the rest of your hair isn’t and we can only tone it as light as the darkest area or else you will get light roots with a brass mid section - and you ain’t walking around with my name on it
2️⃣ Your ends have previous baby-lights that consist of light and dark highlights that make it hard for us to pick through to make your hair even without breaking the lighter strands
3️⃣Have a little faith & trust in us because there’s a wholeeee lotta science going into everyone of those foils & we want what’s best for your hair in the long term not short term :)
