Sacred Sexuality: Open the Energy of Intimacy 01/12/2025

Sacred Sexuality: Open the Energy of Intimacy Channel pleasure, connection, and transformative power within yourself and your relationships.

Repressed emotions refer to emotions that you unconsciously avoid. These differ from suppressed emotions, which are feelings you purposely avoid because you don’t know exactly how to deal with them.

The suppression of emotions eventually develops into a mental state, which becomes your primary state because of a repetitive pattern- this is nervousness, irritation, anxiety, bad habits, procrastination and much more. What is most often regarded as a separate problem instead of realizing that this is a consequence of the fact that at some point what you were experiencing was too hard for your consciousness, your heart and sensitivity, and those experiences were suppressed.

Your mental state = your physical state.

Here are common places emotions show up:

-lower back: unexpressed anger or frustration. An overall feeling of instability.

-the gut/stomach: fear, ‘sick to my stomach’ feeling.
Can lead to belly aches and/or digestive concerns.

-chest: anxiety, panic attacks, feelings of hurt, sadness or a broken heart. Can lead to breathing dystunction.

-head: a loss of control. Can lead to headaches or migraines

-shoulders: overwhelm, overburdened. Can lead to chronic neck pain, posture dysfunctions, headaches, breathing dysfunction.

-jaw, throat, voice: oppression, having to hide your voice, inability to speak up. Can lead to losing your voice frequently, teeth grinding, TMJ dysfunction.

-pelvic floor: depression, chronic stress, trauma. Can lead to tight hips, core instability, overall stiffness and/ or sexual dysfunction.

-hips: insecurity, disappointment, hesitation about facing the future. Emotional trauma is also stored here which is why doing hip opening exercises can commonly cause a release of emotion.

Remember, the body doesn’t react with words. It communicates with sensations and symptoms. Therefore, we must approach the nervous system through the body.

I have two directories of doctors that focus on the nervous system around the world linked in my bio.

Where have you FELT emotions in your body? Comment below, let’s bring awareness to it!
