I’m excited to announce that I now have an online store for your hair products, so I don’t have to keep sending y’all to “the store that shall not be named”!!

I will keep working on getting some of my other favorite brands to partner up with me, but this is a great start!

Anyone can order from my online store, from pretty much anywhere, even if you are not a current client of mine.

It’s super convenient and ships right to you, typically receiving your order in 2-3 days.

I love this collaboration so much and am super excited to offer a way to support independent hairdressers vs big box stores! 💕

Please feel free to share this with others that prefer to support an independent stylist.

We’ve been working on this grey transition for a couple of months… She hasn’t had color on her new growth for about 7 months. We didn’t want to undo any of that hard growing out work, so we haven’t touched any of that new growth with any of our color/lighteners/toners. We focused on removing her Level 3 brown from her many, many years of coloring and then colored those same portions of hairs to blend pretty seamlessly with her natural regrowth… Again, none of the 7 months of growth was touched, which is the key to grey transitioning. This took two sessions to achieve and it’s hard to believe it’s the same hair or that her seven months of regrowth remains untouched.

Are you ready to start the grey transitioning process?

It’s been about 8 weeks since I’ve been back behind the chair and I feel incredibly blessed to have had so many reach out for appointments. My books are filling quickly, so I’m popping on here to remind everyone that I’m not going to have as many last-minute spots available. I highly recommend booking out your next couple of visits ahead of time so that you will get a spot that works with your schedule for maintaining your color.

I have a few spots left for June and am booking into the second half of July currently.

Let’s talk Corrective Color… It’s a process… It often takes multiple sessions… The hair and scalp will only allow so much at one time… You have to be able to be patient and trust the process…

1st pic: This guest came in for her 1st Corrective Color Session a couple of weeks ago. We were trying to undo a DIY color that turned her hair a patchy dark gray/purple color.

2nd pic: We were able to get her to a warm blonde, but her hair and scalp needed a break, so she was oh so very patient and followed instructions to give her hair a complete break for two weeks.

3rd pic: She came back for her 2nd Corrective Session today and the plan was to add some depth and to get her headed in more of a dimensional sandy blonde direction.

As we now transition back into regular color service appointments, we will continue to add some depth and dimension, while we continue to watch for unwanted tones that might want to pop back up as we go.

Thank you for putting your trust in me and for being patient through the process 💕

I had so much fun giving this client the warmth she requested… And we created a great foundation for some bolder colors for her next appointment! 💕 Sadly, I forgot to take the before pic 😥 Story of my life 🤦🏽‍♀️😁

Let’s talk about Gray Transitioning vs Gray Blending.

Gray Transitioning is for those that want to stop coloring their hair and want to let those natural grays shine. In this situation, your colored hair is typically quite different from your natural color and you’re looking for ways to soften the harshness, while leaving your natural color mostly untouched during the grow out phase, thus eliminating the need to restart the grow out phase after each color or blending appointment.

Gray Blending is for those that aren’t ready to fully embrace their natural color but are looking for a way to blend it better with their colored hair so that it grows out softer between retouches without such a harsh line of demarcation. In this situation, you might not mind seeing some of the grays or you might like the look of using your grays as tonal highlights.

I work with each client to develop a plan that works for their unique needs. Not only do I provide the coloring support you need, I also help with the emotional side along the way.

And yes, I offer Gray Coverage services as well, where we just cover those pesky things up with a custom color combination.

I’ve officially been in my salon suite at Friendz Salon for a month now!

I’ve gotten some great feedback from my guests and the number one thing y’all are loving is the privacy factor the suite provides.

I’ve received positive comments about how you’re able to relax and not feel rushed during your appointment and you are loving that I don’t double or triple book, giving you all the attention while I’m with you. My goal is not to have the most clients, it’s to have clients that recognize the value in what I offer, and putting my undivided focus on you is a big part of what I can offer…There are days where I will only take one client per day just to ensure that I have ample time and space just for you.

Here’s what I’ve loved about it so far… I love that I’ve gotten to meet some amazing women so far! I enjoy getting to know you. I love love love that I get to share my passion for hair color with you all. I love that you’ve been patient while I’ve worked out the kinks that come along with opening a new business and getting settled into a space.

I also really love the privacy factor as well. It’s so nice to be in a calm space and spend one on one time with each of you. It is also a great space for providing my Empowerment Makeovers. I truly believe a lot of healing takes place in my space and I’m so grateful to be a part of anyone’s healing journey.

Even with over 25 years of experience, starting over in a new space is a bit scary, but I’m enjoying the journey so far! Thank you to those that have given me the opportunity to be a part of your hair journey. I look forward to spending more time with those of you that feel I’m a good fit! 💕

I’d love to find a few new guests for this next month, so if you are reading this post and would be willing to share it, I would be extremely grateful.
